 What is a hashtag? A hashtag is comprised of the pound (# Icon )not the emoji followed by keywords usually not too long in case someone doesn’t know how to spell. Made popular by twitter then it made its way into all the other social media outlets because of its convenience. To make connecting easier over a topic that everyone around the world is interested about on a click of a link pushes connecting to a whole other level. The use of the hashtag also allows for those posts to be linked together that whoever uses it and clicks on the link will be reverted to the page with the thread filled with posts relating to the hashtag. Hashtags are links created by use of a icon with short key words that becomes a link that connects all posts composed by others that include the hashtag. What exactly are you focused on about your social media strategy? I would be primarily focused on creating a broad fan base that would contribute to a customer base for merchandise. Whether initially being interested to visit for the amazing pictures or funny heartfelt posts the focus would be on making a lasting impression in that miniscule ten seconds or twelve at most that I have their attention, so they keep coming back. Consistency on posting quality content that is formatted to be short and sweet but not too short to the point its not memorable. Also, maintaining a unique presence in the social media platform so that its easier to differentiate from the rest of the accounts flooding the scene. Preparing Your Content for Facebook Sharing I understand "shaping Your content for Facebook" to mean to tailor your ideas and post so that when its posted to Facebook it is done in a format that your audience there will understand and inclined to click on. In other words, like mentioned in the reading there is a lot of content consistently funneling through many people newsfeeds daily so it is important to stand out visually and through a great title. As people we are interested in completing mysteries and puzzles so its satisfying to clicking on a link that sates that curiousity factor in us when clicking on that new interesting post. What is spreading your ideas with social media? This is using different outlets on social networks to convey your idea whether it is through blog posts as we are doing now to YouTube even a Facebook post. It is all circling around the basic principle of sharing content with an audience that either relates to the content or have an interest based on how you created your title and content placement. The World Wide Web is comprised of many ideas yet for spreading our ideas in my opinion we primarily use social media because this is where content creator’s originality continues to show through their ideas unfiltered or influenced by others. (4) Build A Base Creating a base page is very important because you control the content on it so that when you’re searched that specific page will come up, so it gives the best impression of you. Having a distinct picture of yourself or animation allows you to be easily recognized which added into your base page allows for great content control and “build online identity”. It is now common for employers, significant others or strangers to search on the web about you, so it is best to have information available that you tailored for them to find.   Also, like a brand, we must build our identity visually also so having a specific picture or bitmoji that is can be easily linked back to you is opportune. What is a digital footprint? There are two classifications of digital foot prints. Passive digital footprints are data collected from the users without user’s knowledge which includes websites being visited where it may record a person’s search history while you’re logged in. Active digital foot prints are comprised of online actively intentionally shared by users on the internet. Prime example would be posts on social media whether it be comments or blog posts because it is directly coming from you it is wise to remind oneself of the impact of those posts down the line for future endeavors or career choices. Also, emails play a large role because its communication that can be saved by the receiver, so it is very important to carefully consider the content before sending it.
