Remixing Content
I understand “remixing content” to mean incorporating
images, sayings and music to bring your post alive by using familiar sounds and
sights to interest consumers. In other words, each post has a goal of which is
no longer limited to expression through just words. In the “remixing
culture” we can utilize all resources to appeal to the persons emotions
visually also through pictures, memes and audio. An example of “remixing
content” would be a commercial for a cable company who not only uses images of
TV shows but of different clips that may pronounce the company name to showcase
their creative marketing by using familiar faces.The purpose of the assignment is to recognize the strong
presence of “remixed content” rotating in the media and its effectiveness. The key
question at the heart of the assignment is how are we going to utilize this new-found
knowledge to convey our own messages to our desired audience?
