Community

What is community?
A community is a group of people who are in a have a common purpose that they share that binds them together. Having this purpose however does not mean that they will agree all the time on all issues that go through their channels. Rather, they can discuss and debate these differences to gain a better understanding of all the views from each side so that it is given a fair chance. Online communities have a unique route of communication because they are not limited by the amount they can contribute or the time of day they can go ahead to throw in their two cents on a topic. This sense of belonging along with effective communications helps communities continue to grow and thrive.

If I decided to create an online community what would happen?
Initial steps would be choosing what that basis will be that would be the reason why your potential community members will want to join. Traction and online traffic can be generated if quality content adhering to the intellectual standards. Patience along with consistently sharing your blog or site will spread work along the world wide web to attract more people to help you shape your community. You will gain members that will fuel the content of your posts and over time it will be a joint effort that will steer itself. Content will be a focal point that has to be maintained but it will generate a starting point for people to have interactive discussions.
