Week 4 Intellectual Traits 1

I understand clarity to mean that the question being asked are to the precise and unquestionable relevance. In other words, rather than asking broad questions hence meticulous preparation is to be made to ensure that the questions provide clear answers. To be able to maintain this par it is very important that the questions are made while keeping them tailored to be address the issue head on versus straying away. An example of someone exhibiting clarity in social media would be anchor on YouTube tailoring his questions to be able to maintain the focus on a issue in an ongoing interview but still maintaining the standard of clarity so that the answers relate to the topic at hand.
Accuracy to my understanding is maintaining the credibility of a source that a statement or question was based off. In other words, a fair argument backed by accurate information will trump any naysayers because of the weight behind those words. Doing research so that when asking about the credibility of statements or statistics allows for no room for error because statistics are solid truth. Being able to maintain a high standard of accuracy in both statements and questions alike create the perfect storm to keep the momentum of your logical thinking process going. An example of someone exhibiting accuracy with social media would be ensuring that before posting about a controversial topic you do your research and use it as a basis.
I understand “precision” to mean is to specify the exact details down to the nooks and crannies to ensure each base is covered. In other words, as explained certain statements can have clarity but can lack in precision because to a degree it is still broad. This can be the case because to the writer they may assume that their reader will know what a certain question entails but that is not always the case. Which is why this standard has to be upheld because there is no point in speaking articulate if you can make your point in a precise manner that can be understood. An example of someone exhibiting precision with social media would be ensuring that their post makes clear points that are precise and to the core of the issue so it leaves no room for questioning.
I understand “relevance” to making sure that the thinking process prioritizes the intake of information to differentiate and discard the thoughts that does pertain to the topic. In other words, maintaining relevant information will keep the content up to par and interesting because it sticks to the point. Being able to state clear fact whilst maintaining a steady stream of relevant information intake will allow the reader to put trust into the source and content. An example of someone exhibiting relevance with social media would be creating a post tackling the issue on birth control for young teens rather than adding a overload of irrelevant information it is  neatly assembled with a slap of relevant information to knock your opposers out.
The purpose of the assignment is to begin the process of raising our standards of thinking so that it’ll translate into our writing and everyday lives.
The key question at the heart of the assignment is “With such standards will you begin practicing to achieve a new stage of being a deep intellectual thinker?”
