Essentials of Sharing

What do you take for granted or assume about sharing?
As seen in the video I now realize that I take for granted the beauty of making connections with my family, friends or acquaintances through the content that I am sharing. Selecting the “share” option has now become a reflex versus being a tool to incite emotional connections with others. The “human to human” campaign as mentioned in the video makes sense to me now because of the fact in our tech filled society it is refreshing to make genuine connections with others which is the reason why the movement began trending. 
What conclusions are you coming to about sharing?
It is more than beating your friend to sharing that new meme or having the funniest video for the day. Rather than focusing on such shallow goals sharing is creating a relationship between the content that you find interesting and the special audience you feel would appreciate it as much as you do. Emotions as emphasized in the reading and videos recognize the importance of emotional connection between a person or person(s) to the shared pictures, quotes or remixed videos. Also, it touches on the bravery needed in standing for your beliefs when come time to share to be able to stay true to your values vs maintaining a carefully curated mirage as others do on social media. The gift of appealing to someone’s emotions is a beautiful result of simply sharing.
The purpose of this assignment is to create in depth connections to the power of sharing meaningful content whilst also letting it translate into the process of creating my own content. The key question at the heart of the assignment is “How will I be able to inspire my readers to create their own personal in depth connections through my content?”

    I'm questioning the significance of your statement, "sharing is creating a relationship between the content that you find interesting and the special audience you feel would appreciate it as much as you do." Which of these interpretations you presented are most important? Why?

      I see it as one interpretation because as individuals "sharing" brings joy and satisfaction from seeing the reactions of others who would enjoy it also. It is difficult to say that sharing with just anyone will have the same satisfaction as sharing with like minded people.

What is spreading your ideas with social media? This is using different outlets on social networks to convey your idea whether it is through blog posts as we are doing now to YouTube even a Facebook post. It is all circling around the basic principle of sharing content with an audience that either relates to the content or have an interest based on how you created your title and content placement. The World Wide Web is comprised of many ideas yet for spreading our ideas in my opinion we primarily use social media because this is where content creator’s originality continues to show through their ideas unfiltered or influenced by others. CRAP Detect Untruthful News

These three articles briefly touch on fake news, bias and propaganda fueled news funneled out to the unsuspecting masses. Beginning with the first article by the New York Times , on the influence of reoccurring false content funneled continuously on popular social media platforms that are supposedly generated by a flawed algorithm. The rapid pace of the distribution of false information often times “outruns fact-checkers” in this platform which has resulted in mass production of false news. The focus was primarily on the flaws of social media whilst my second choice reflected on the evident bias displayed in widely known broadcasting stations and their anchors . Lastly, the work of a writer who has become the prime example of the lack of intellectual thinkers/readers we have in society who often fall prey to lies.
