It seems to be near impossible to differentiate actual news versus a bias news that is supporting a business or a person propaganda. As consumers we are dependent on news outlets that are readily available so that we can stay up to date on the events affecting our lives.

 Since we cannot verify all the articles, posts or broadcasts we are susceptible to believing fake news or bias news. Rather than being impartial it raises concern that is distorted to serve a purpose rather than inform the public of the actual legislation or event so that they can generate their own opinions. Biased news that may be fueled by secret propaganda's are some of the major set backs of the news that we are receiving.

We are surrounded by different forms of communication such as social media, news outlets and radios/podcasts. This has made it accessible for many people to stay up to date with the current events but also it has been a platform exploited by different groups to manipulate the public. As can be seen in the economic plan that Ford took advantage of to raise prices of product and lower wages. Which is was praised as one of the pivoting moments in presidency of which he was able to make a large effective contribution to the rebuild of the US economy. Through all the praise as the consumers if we do not question or have opposing outlets that challenge the reported “news”. Those readers would have just believed that it was for the best to pay that markup price because it was justified.

As citizens we deserve honest and unbiased news not created for any other purpose than to inform people of actual events going on around them. This is a wish that may not come true, but I propose that we begin to think critically when presented with new information. To check the credibility of the source along with its past reports to ensure that’s it news worth considering. There is no real way for us to sift through all the news that comes our way through all these news platforms, but we can pick top 3 credible outlets that though may not support your party or ideology it deliveries news fairly. So that you can make your personal choice as to what you want to believe. The purpose of this assignment is to continue to steadily grow as writers and critical thinking members of society that think deeper than what is initially given to us. Will you begin to evaluate the news offered in a new light to be able to ensure its credibility?

What is spreading your ideas with social media? This is using different outlets on social networks to convey your idea whether it is through blog posts as we are doing now to YouTube even a Facebook post. It is all circling around the basic principle of sharing content with an audience that either relates to the content or have an interest based on how you created your title and content placement. The World Wide Web is comprised of many ideas yet for spreading our ideas in my opinion we primarily use social media because this is where content creator’s originality continues to show through their ideas unfiltered or influenced by others. CRAP Detect Untruthful News

These three articles briefly touch on fake news, bias and propaganda fueled news funneled out to the unsuspecting masses. Beginning with the first article by the New York Times , on the influence of reoccurring false content funneled continuously on popular social media platforms that are supposedly generated by a flawed algorithm. The rapid pace of the distribution of false information often times “outruns fact-checkers” in this platform which has resulted in mass production of false news. The focus was primarily on the flaws of social media whilst my second choice reflected on the evident bias displayed in widely known broadcasting stations and their anchors . Lastly, the work of a writer who has become the prime example of the lack of intellectual thinkers/readers we have in society who often fall prey to lies.
